Claudio Biason Italian figurative painter

I am an Italian figurative painter proposing the representation of the human figure inspired by Ancient Painting, revisiting it in a modern way. The artists of reference are Caravaggio, Michelangelo, painters of Mannerism, Giambattista Tiepolo, Giambattista Piazzetta, Sebastiano Ricci, French painters like Louis Jean François Lagrenée and William Bouguereau, and the classicist painters of the 19th Century as a whole.

My interest in ancient art led me to learn about the pictorial techniques of the past. Hence the choice to deepen my education studying the discipline of restoration, which to date I carry out as a work activity parallel to that of painter.

For several years I worked as an art-conservtor of antique furnitures working for an important antique shop in Portogruaro, before devoting myself to the sector for which I specialized myself: the art-conservation of paintings.

My studio is located in Concordia Sagittaria, and my main area of intervention is art-conservation of ancient and modern paintings on canvas and on wooden supports, wooden sculptures and golden frames. Moreover, I also dedicate myself to the restoration of decorated wooden furniture, ceramic objects, paper materials and antiques in general.
