ART CONSERVATION
Claudio Biason is a Restoration Technician certified by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage for the preservation of painted artefacts on wooden and textile supports and wooden artifacts, with preferential sector of painting of the nineteenth century. It is included in the Ministerial List of Restoration Technicians pursuant to Art.182 of D. Lgs. n.42/2004.
After a reference as restorer of rare vintage furniture in Portogruaro (VE), since 2016 he has been involved in the restoration and conservation of:
- Ancient and modern paintings on canvas and on wooden panel;
- Icons;
- Golden frames and gold leaf decorations;
- Furniture and furniture in polychrome, lacquered and gilded wood;
- Prints, drawings and works on paper;
- Wooden sculptures;
- Sculptures in stone and metal material;
- Decorated wooden ceilings;
- Ceramic objects.
His workshop in Concordia Sagittaria (VE) is equipped with professional instruments such as:
- A vacuum pump to carry out lining and vacuum consolidation of paintings;
- An optical microscope for the controlled cleaning of the pictorial surface;
- A Wood lamp for the examination of the painting in ultraviolet radiation, useful to reveal repaints otherwise hard to identify at a visual examination;
- An infrared camera to identify any elements not visible such as hidden signatures, preparatory drawings and hidden parts of the work;
- A thermocauterio for the localized re-planning of color lifts.
Systems for cleaning painted surfaces that are used meet ministerial standards, and eco-friendly solvents at a low toxicity are preferred.

professional figure that collaborates with the restorer executing, with autonomy of decision strictly related to their technical skills,
certain direct and indirect actions to limit the degradation of cultural assets and ensure their conservation,
operations of which he guarantees the correct execution according to the methodological and operational indications, under the direction
and the direct control of the restorer. He is responsible for the care of the working environment and equipment, takes care of
the preparation of the necessary materials for the interventions, according to the methodological indications of the
